Hey everybody, we are Hairri and Afza, the owners of Zikhafri Cattery. We are located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We show and breed Maine Coon cats, with the aim to produce the best conformed to the CFA standard of breed. We love these little fellas and they color our lives everyday with their goofiness, clumsiness and their silly behavior. Hey, from making you panic by hiding in a laundry bag, to come to you and wrestle your hand at night, they are just wonderful furry creatures to be with.Maine Coon is a native cat breed originally from the North-eastern region of North America. There are a lot of stories about their origin that you can read from internet and books, but in general the breed originally lived in a farm – a working cat they call it, with shaggy coat, strong boning and features.
We are working with National Winners, Breed Winners , Regional Winners and Distiguished Merits show lines specifically from the US and hope to produce kittens that are healthy, balanced and with the best temperament and type. Even though we would love to do brown tabby, red tabby and brown patched with and without white, our main aim is to put the type and balance as the main priority. Our long term breeding objective is to produce van maine coons, with the temperament and look of "in-between" feral and sweeter look.
We like to show. We show exclusively in CFA shows around SE Asia and Hong Kong to show our kittens and cats. We think shows are fun to be at because we can meet new friends and most importantly we can see where are our cats stand among others. Oh, if you see us at the show, don’t forget to stop and say “Hi!”. We won’t bite (our cats probably will though, but in a cute way) and we will help you with any questions you may have.
Here's a picture of both of us with Judge Chuck Gradowski when using Gambit our pet in his HHP Top 10. Gambit deserves a front page appearance since he was one of the reasons why we were hooked with Maine Coons.
In 2012, we added a new breed to show: American Wirehairs.
We are a hobby cattery and we do not do stud service. We let our cats roam around the house, sleep with us and we check their health regularly. We groom our cats every week and we do not condone declawing. We show and register our cats with CFA, but we are not restricted to work with anybody from any association. That being said, we are hoping to place our kittens and cats in loving homes with owners who will agree to keep them indoors only. All our kittens are sold with a neuter/spay agreement. However, we are also happy if our kittens go to show homes and in certain cases, we are happy to let them go with breeding rights.

Note: Adopting a kitten/cat is a serious, serious hobby. If you are planning to adopt a kitten, we want you to make sure that you can give them care and love throughout their lifetime, from kittens to adults. As much as we love those organizations taking in stray cats, we do not want more and more kittens and cats being sent there.
